Fifth Quarter

Beauty and the Beast Broadway in Hollywood
I have completed my first quarter of my second year at FIDM holding at 3.8 GPA and still involved in the Premier Marketing Group. I learned a lot from the last 15 months I have been at FIDM and I will continue to grow as a student while earning my Associates in merchandise/marketing. Since I will be graduating in September and LOVE school, I will be continueing my education with FIDM for their Business Management program for my Bachelors of Science Degree. I am so blessed to have found what I love at such a young age and can't wait to begin my career with passion. When starting my Bachelors I want to also begin my website, selling fashion apparel to build my customer base early. Also this quarter I became a responsible at H&M, taking baby steps to work for a top retailer that has been very successful world-wide. I hope to stay with this company for years down the road and learn from them for guideance on how to begin my own boutique. Wish me luck! -XO Classes I will be taking this quarter are: Technology for Merchandise Buying, Promotion in the Merchandise Environment, International Business, Site Management & Operations and Merchandise Presentation. All of my classes this upcoming quarter are going to be perfect, I can't wait to work with my professors on these courses!

Shopping on a budget

Before being a college student, especially being interested in fashion.. I was of course a "shopaholic". Every payday was spent on new clothes, accessories, shoes, etc. I love shopping no matter what, but with being a student in college shopping isn't easy to shop every friday anymore. That is why I look at shopping at inexpensive stores now to keep updated with the latest trends... but still have an affordable wardrobe. The transition was tough, but now after a lot of practice with keeping my eye open I have somewhat become a pro at finding new outfits! My top 3 favorite stores now being Forever 21, H&M, Urbanog.com; I can shop to give myself the feeling of awarding myself for hardwork that I have been doing each week. With that said, I recommend these three stores for shopping on a budget.  Forever 21: I find myself buying a lot of their tops, dresses, and accessories. H&M: I purchase a lot of business casual merchandise, accessories, and dresses as well. Urbanog.com: I was recently introduced to this website & in the time since I know own over 15 pairs of shoes from them. They have amazing sales, and price definitely meets quality! I get compliments constantely for my wardrobe, the way I complete each outfit with accessories or my shoes. So in a way all three of these stores/websites fit in together. As a put together my outfit everyday I notice that picking three stores that you love, then finding a couple things you buy from each will make the outfit more unique!

they certainly have a strong effect on her self-confidence —
which, I believe, does make the woman."

New City, New Job

Back in Kentucky I was very close with the people that I worked with at all three of my jobs (pacsun, sears, & journeys.) Saying bye to them when I was moving out here was very hard and apart of me knows that it has taken me this long in LA to get a new retail job because I knew that it would make me miss them even more. Now, almost eight months living in LA.. I am now an employee of H&M in Century City. I am so happy to have the opportunity to grow with this company because of how well they are doing and their plans of expanding in the next couple years. I started my first day a couple of days ago & the people are so amazing & I already love them! H&M is similar to my jobs back home in a lot of ways so I carry my experience with me each day. I'm starting to get used to the format of the store, so only a couple more shifts & I know I will have it down :)
